Send email from JIRA is sending user information

hi all,

JIRA Software 7.3 server users.

when i send an email to specific user groups(as admin), the email is hsowing my username and not showing it as going from JIRA.

when i did a test email from the outgoing email page( Where the SMPT mail server deatils reside), it shows as if it is sent from JIRA.

what am i missing here? is this intended. i would want users to receive this email from JIRA and not with my user name.
