Hello,
I have a project that uses multiple projects, multiple sprints for my searches to filter data for tasks and sub tasks.
When typing into the sprint field in a basic search, I am able to pull up 30 sprints and select them to be included with the search.
After starting search, it only seems to select 10 of the 30 to include in the search, if I check the JQL it also shows only 10 sprint IDs are listed rather than the full amount.
This is an issue that started happening recently. It was working in the past 2 weeks ago.
Is there a bug currently with searches where only a certain amount of sprints can be included or is this an issue with the Project admin setup?
Hello @Andre Nantel
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Can you provide some screen images or a video to help us understand how you are building up your search criteria and pulling up 30 sprints and selecting them? And then also show how that changes to include only 10 sprints?
I've been searching the Atlassian public backlog, but without understanding your problem I'm not yet able to determine if it is a known and documented issue.
You may be able to get faster feedback on that by asking your Jira Administrators to open a support case directly with Atlassian on this topic.
Thanks for replying, I will try to get some screenshots. Please note that this project is under NDA so I won't be sharing my full screen with these screenshots.

You can see that 30/30 sprints are selected with the dropdown filtered by the 2.4 milestone. Then after doing so, the JQL shortens the amount selected to 10/30 sprints.
Thank you again for the help.

Just curious if you tried enclosing the value 2.4 in quotes?

That results in no sprints found. To generate the list, it needs to be 2.4 without quotes.

Hello @Andre Nantel
Thank you for that screen image. That is very helpful.
Looking at my own system, I did a looked at setting the sprint field for the search in the same way, using 1 as the value to search for in sprint names.
The first thing I noticed is that the 30 of 30 at the bottom of the selection search does not indicate how many are selected. It indicates how many values (30) of all possible matching values (of 30) can be viewed in the scrollable list. For instance, here I have not actually selected any of the values, but it says 50 of 43
The other thing I noticed is that values appear in the scrollable list multiple times. Notice in the above that I am at the bottom of the scrollable list and it shows CS Sprint 12 from board CS Board as the last value. If I scroll up in the list I find the same value again, multiple times.
If I check just one box next to CS Sprint 12 every box next to each instance of CS Sprint 12 becomes selected.
Can you scroll through the list and see how many unique values are actually checked?

Hello @Trudy Claspill
Thanks for follow up and response, Really appreciate all the investigation you are providing on your end.
I can safely verify I selected all 30 of the sprints in the dropdown and triple checked before performing a search. The result is the same, despite selecting 30, only the first 10 are actually applied in a search.

Hello @Andre Nantel
After having selected a number of sprints in the sprints dropdown I notice that the number I have selected appears in the field above (-1 because the first sprint name is shown).
This appears to match the number of unique sprints selected from the list.
After making the above selections and then changing to the JQL view, I saw 15 unique sprint IDs listed.
What number are you seeing in the field above the selection list when you believe you have select 30 unique sprints?

@Trudy Claspill Sorry on the delay, I was mostly Out of Office today. However I can confirm that despite selecting 30 sprints, it displays +9 rather than +30. after collapsing the sprint dropdown.
