Security Level for Comments

Hi there

We are currently testing the use of “Security Levels” for our projects, to differentiate the visibility for the issues based on different AD groups. This is already working as expected.

Now we would like to add an additional restriction for comments and are wondering if we can define a default “view-restriction” on comments defined on project level.

The idea is that we can share projects and their issues with different AD-Groups, but the comments are only visible for a few AD-Groups.

Unfortunately you cannot achieve that as security levels can only be used to restrict issues visibility. However, as you are using Jira server, you may find some workarounds here.
