Searching Latest Comments returns only today's comments

I'm not sure if this is a new bug or an intentional update! But when I search for a string in "Latest Comment" it ONLY looks at recent comments (24 hours old)! 

for example; if we have two JIRAs:

Jira1's latest comment was entered 3 days ago and it contains the keyword "Meeting"

Jira2's latest comment is from today with the same keyword 

if you search for the word Meeting in "Latest Comment"  you will ONLY get  Jira2.

This wasn't the case before. How do I fix this?
