It appears that now if im using Jira, i use the search bar to find a document in confluence, i need to navigate to confluence to carry out that search.
Historically i could just search for it in the search bar and click the confluence tab - no page redirections, just a toggle and i can search in confluence.
Please can someone tell me how i can revert this? It's just simply a waste of time and regression of one of the most simple features in an app.. the search bar.
Hello @Phillip C
Can you provide a more complete screen image to provide more context about where you are accessing the search function?
In my Free instance I see options to choose where I want to search from the Search field that appears at the top of the screen next to the Create button.
Features get released to different subscriptions and regions at different times, and there are also Beta features that can be enabled. Perhaps your instance has a Beta feature enabled or has newly released functionality that is not yet on my instance.
It's part of the below feature. Nothing to be turned off or beta release afaik.

Thank you for that additional information. This change has not yet appeared in the environments to which I have access.
I did find this article within the Community about the new Search:
Introducing Rovo Search for Jira
I see that the Nov. 3 update mentions that the ability to search Confluence has not yet been added.
