Scripted Field of type Duration displays under Dates section

We have a scripted field that calculates the total time spent of linked issues. We have this field set to duration. When set as duration is shows in the Dates section of the issue detail view. If set to Text/Numeric it displays under the main area.

Is there any way to control where the duration field type is displayed? It seems abnormal to have it in the date section.

It's the "output type" that tells JIRA where a field should be put.  I understand that the duration field has the flag that says "I'm date related", so JIRA pulls it out into the dates. 

To move it, I suspect you'll have to raise a request with the SR team to get it changeable.
