Scheduling issues - set up recurring tasks

Hi There,

We currently have a few Story's and Epics we set up that re-occur on a monthly and weekly basis. 

Currently we clone the tickets for each new frequency. 

I have noted the Automation element in Jira under project settings and there is a scheduler. I just don't know how i can automate and schedule? 

Any steps or guidance on how this works and how i can implement this would be much appreciated.
