Scheduled Task in JIRA v6.3.12

Sumathi H

Hi,

http://www.j-tricks.com/tutorials/scheduled-tasks-in-jira

In JIRA v5.x, by referring the above link I could succesfully install my own scheduled task by modifying the scheduler-config.xml under atlassian-jira\WEB-INF\classes and placing corresponding jar files under atlassian-jira\WEB-INF\lib. But this functionality is not supported in JIRA v6.3.12(This version doesn't have scheduler-config.xml under atlassian-jira\WEB-INF\classes)

Can you please let me know how to go forward with the scheduled task in JIRA v6.3.12.

Expecting the answer at the earliest.

Need a small clarification as I am quite confused.

Steps given to schedule a task in the link 'http://www.j-tricks.com/tutorials/scheduled-tasks-in-jira' is easier than the one using SAL scheduler.

Doesn't JIRA v6.3.12 will support scheduled task without using SAL component.

Do you see the scheduler-config.xml anywhere? I haven't checked myself, sorry.

I have checked and 6.3.12 version of JIRA doesn't have scheduler-config.xml under atlassian-jira\WEB-INF\classes as I have mentioned in my first question. Now I found one more solution :-) - http://www.j-tricks.com/tutorials/jira-service Implementing the class as JIRA service and configure 1 time which keeps running with that delay (Seen under Administration -> System -> Advanced -> Services)
