Saving task configurations as a default

Is there an easy way to save task configurations to be able to apply it to other task types (bugs, story points etc).

Further from that can I set this configuration as a default so that any new project created will use that setup?

I'm afraid this may not be possible in Next Gen projects.

However, in class projects, same screen configuration (with fields list) can be shared among multiple issue types:

Jira Settings -> Issue type screen schemes -> Default Issue Type Screen Scheme -> Configure
