SSO Tab?

sidPLakin January 4, 2023

I'm attempting to setup Okta SSO for our DEV instance to test out everything prior to implementing in TEST/PROD. I believe everything is setup correctly, but I receive the following message when clicking the Okta chicklet.

atlassian App is misconfigured

This app is not configured correctly. Please contact your administrator for additional help.
Error while evaluating Relay State attribute from app link: Jira_service_management URL is blank! Please set it on SSO tab.

I cannot find an SSO tab anywhere and several of the SSO docs I've found appear to be out of date. Any help is appreciated.

Thank you!

I am not 100% sure of this, but the free versions of Jira likely don't support SSO (someone, please correct me if I am wrong here!)

Atlassian Access (another Atlassian product) is required for actually SSO to run on paid instances, and there is no free version of Atlassian Access.

There are a few other questions around SSO (check out the related community content links to the right on your post), and they might have some idea of what's happening.

Chris,

You're correct, we had to use the trial access initially. I reached out to support as it's slowing our move to SSO in our Production environment and they confirmed the error is referencing our Okta settings, not Jira.

I'm going to close this as resolved and I'll give you the credit. I just wanted to report back what we'd heard in case others ran into a similar issue.

Thank you,

Paul
