Hi there,

How can I setup SLA for a specific component in a jira?

Hi @Adesh Singh

Can you clarify the need here? Do you mean you want an SLA which is different for a specific component?

This is how I'd set that up:

  • Either create a new SLA, or edit an existing one
  • Add a new Goal, with JQL which identifies that specific Component
  • Set a new Time Target for this Goal

^ You still need a second Goal which is for "all other issues" in this case. You can also add multiple goals if needed, if there are multiple Components with different time targets.

Instructions for this can also be found here - https://support.atlassian.com/jira-service-management-cloud/docs/set-up-sla-goals/

Hi @Adesh Singh , welcome to the community.

Create a new or edit an existing SLA , like "Time to resolution".

If you edit an SLA you can add goals.

Add something like
component = "Your component name"
and define a calendar and a time target.

So for example, time to resolution for your component is 4h and all remaining issues is 8h.
