Rovo

Hi, we recently created an AI policy within our organization and realized that we don't want to use Rovo. Is there a way to avoid using it completely? We don't want it to use our information for its training. Thank you.

Hi @Susana Espino

If you are an org admin, under your org at admin.atlassian, com you can start with Rovo > Rovo access > then remove all apps Rovo has access to

Here is a snippet from their documentation regarding the same steps
https://support.atlassian.com/organization-administration/docs/manage-rovo-access/

Block apps from Rovo features

You can control which apps have Rovo features enabled for your users.

Blocking an app will disable all current and upcoming AI features for that app. Rovo AI features like Agents and Chat will also be disabled.

Any content previously generated by Rovo will remain.

If you use multiple Jira family apps on the same site (such as Jira, Jira Service Management, Jira Product Discovery, Customer Service Management, or Assets), blocking Rovo for one Jira family app only disables Rovo features in that app.

Certain AI features common across Jira family apps, such as Rovo AI-powered Search, Chat, and Create with Rovo, remain available as long as any Jira app on that site still has Rovo enabled. To turn off AI features for all Jira apps, make sure to block Rovo access for all Jira apps on that site.

To block an app:

  1. Go to Atlassian Administration. Select your organization if you have more than one.

  2. Select Rovo, then Rovo access.
From here, you can configure which apps have access to Rovo features.

  3. Select Add app. You’ll see a list of apps that have Rovo features.

  4. Select the apps you want to disable Rovo features for.

  5. Review your selection.

  6. Select Block access to confirm.

In terms of data that they may have already collected and any further removal of Rovo it seems like you may need to contact Atlassian support but there may be some AI features baked in to some of the apps that may not be removable
