Are you using Jira Server/Data Center or Jira Cloud?
If you are using Jira Cloud are you using the Free, Standard, or Premium subscription?
Showing the start and end dates of issues (vs. Epics) in the roadmap view in Jira Cloud is a feature available only in the Premium subscription. I'm not sure about the Jira Server/Data Center product.
