Risks of changing Project Type from Business to Scrum

Misty Meyers

Hello,

My  QA peer and I have inherited a Jira Cloud project which was created as a Business project type.  We are using the project solely for centralizing our Zephyr test cases.  The project type of Business does not appear to allow for the creation of releases.
Is it possible to change the type to Scrum or Kandan without compromising the existing issues in the project?

Thank you!

Misty

Hi Misty,

So you can’t change the project from a business project to a software project.  The solution is to stand up a new software project and move all issues over to your new project. Depending on the nature of your project and how many issues you have this might be a simple task or it might be rather Arduous. Regardless it will be tedious.

That was what I was thinking would need to happen.

Thank you!
