Hi,

I am looking to see if there are any ways where Retrospective can be more effective. Ideally doing a retro where everyone just speak and it will be recorded in the retro page with the action, or kudos?

Looking to hear from the community

Thanks

Hi @Jitin Ratra ,

To increase the effectiveness of retrospectives, I quantified them in the app I developed - Multi-team Scrum Metrics & Retrospectives. Please read this article. It can help you to increase throughput, flow efficiency and commitments (see concrete numbers inside the article - verified many times).

Here is a quick peek on the process:

Hi @Jitin Ratra and welcome to the Community!

Your tags suggests you are on the Enterprise plan. If you have Loom enabled in your organization it can transcribe meeting notes to a page Confluence.

I haven't tried it myself but I have seen it in a demo and it looks very powerful.

You can read more about how it works here

I hope this gives you some ideas to explore further

Best regards,

Hi @Jitin Ratra, Welcome to the Community!

A retrospective recorder is a great idea for teams that want to capture sprint reflections systematically without switching tools too much.

For me, changing the retrospective themes/templates regularly could make the process more fun and engaging, which would encourage members to think differently and bring more interesting insights into the retro.

Another one I like is retro icebreakers. Making everyone comfortable before the session would make it easier to join and express their thoughts.

You might want to check out AgileBox for this. It’s designed specifically to facilitate these sessions with a structured 4-stage process (Reflect, Group, Vote, and Discuss). It supports plenty of templates and includes a live chat feature that’s perfect for remote or hybrid teams.

Welcome @Jitin Ratra

You might take a look at this page:https://community.atlassian.com/forums/Jira-questions/Retrospective-board/qaq-p/2628537

As for the recording of retrospectives, combination of Google Meet and Gemini does a pretty good job of sumarizing everything and putting it together in a Google Doc, which you can import in your Confluence. In that Confluence space, you can add the shortcut to your Jira space.
