Retrieving information from a mail message

Hello! Is it possible to automatically create tasks when a letter arrives in my mail? For example, I receive a letter by mail, Jira sees the keywords in the letter and creates a task. Interested in out-of-the-box modes without using Jira Automation. Any help in the form of examples, links to useful materials will be useful. If nothing like this is available, how can Jira Automation be used?

Hi @Andrey_K  -

It is possible to set-up mail handlers to receive an email and convert it to a task using the native Jira functions.

The documentation explaining the process is here.

Jira doesn't look for keywords in an email.  It can be set to check a mailbox or folder in a mailbox on a regular cycle and then process based on the configuration.

You can have your email system filter based on keywords and have Jira look in the folder the email is filtered into to create issues for you.

I hope that helps.
