Retrieve App edition via marketplace api /vendors/{vendorId}/reporting/licenses

Hello,

I'm currently digging into the Atlassian Marketplace API v2 to obtain the app edition of a forge app. I'm using the endpoint /vendors/{vendorId}/reporting/licenses, which should return the appEdition of the product. I'm able to retrieve the metadata of the license, but the appEdition property is empty. Do I need to activate the app editions for the corresponding published forge app to see the property? 

I also had a glance at the documentation of the corresponding endpoint in version 3 /rest/3/reporting/developer-space/{developerId}/licenses. The documentation doesn't mention the appEditions anymore. Does this mean that the property will be removed in the future from the API and I will not be able to retrieve the information anymore?
