Hi All

I am on jira 6.1.

Anyone can create a dashboard and share it with everyone. I want to be able to restrict this ability.

I want that

1. only project admins can create new dashboards

2. and share it only with him project members (not everyone)

Is this something possible?

Rahul

Hi Rahul,

Sharing filters and dashboards is a global permission (it's called the create shared objects permission in the global permissions admin screen). So you could limited this to a group consisting of your projectadmins.

You cannot change with whom they can share the dashboard, but you can ofcourse eductate them with a workshop and remind them of the procedures each time you see a dashboard shared with everyone (which you can easily see in the Shared Dashboards menu in the administrator pages of JIRA).

Best regards,

Peter
