Restrict users to skip certain workflow status.

We have a JIRA project - We are planning to create JIRA internal group with few JIRA users that are only can skip certain workflow status (waiting for approval step). Other people who create the JIRA ticket should need to follow the Workflow step.

That is not a problem.

Go to the workflow you are using and edit it.

Add a transition that goes from the step before "waiting for approval" to the step after.  Put a "condition" on it that says "only members of our 'skip approval' group can use this transition"
