Hi everyone!
In our organisation we're using a fake user for the Gitlab<->Jira integration which comments on the issues in Jira with updates from Gitlab.
These comments are now visible for our customers as well. Is there any way we can restrict this user in creating only internal comments? This is both for Jira Software and Jira Service Management products.
Thank you in advance!
Kind regards,
Geoffrey
For JSM projects, the easiest option would be to remove the JSM license from your integration user. If given the appropriate permissions, the user would still be allowed to make internal comments, but not public comments. Keep in mind, this would also prevent the user from being an assignee, transitioning issues, etc.
Jira doesn't offer internal vs. external comments, so I'm afraid there is no native options available.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
