Hi all

We use JIRA v6.2.

We grant full access to our client; yet we want to limit visibility for certain item types. Lets say we create a new item type called "Internal". How can I hide this type entirely from the client?

Thanks

You'd need to put it in a different project, that the client can't see, but even that wouldn't completely hide it, they'd still be able to select it in searches.  Might well return nothing, but they'd know you had a type for it.

With a little thought, you can keep it in the same project.  Set up an issue security scheme that hides individual issues from the clients when it is applied, and then set the workflow for "internal" to set that level on issue create.
