I setup WFs , defined post function to set value for resolution field to Resolved for transitions where it is required. Created schema and applied schema to the project.
But unfortunately it is not applied. After transition no value is set for resolution according to filter result. I doubt there is even resolution field within issue details.
Any thoughts on how/ where to check /add/edit setting to make this work?

I encountered this issue many times, not sure this is true in your case or not. but in my cases there was a post-function to remove resolution value. so even though engineers set resolution value through transition screen it won't be applied to ticket
it is worth to check that configuration and remove the post-function if any configured

Thanks for response but unfortunately this is not my case. In my post functions system only set resolution but doesn't clean it up
