Resolution date is set despite issue never being moved out of Open

I have 6 issues, all bug type that look to have been opened and resolved in a minute based on their timestamps, despite the issue never being transitioned to a resolved state. They don't seem to have been cloned, none of the linked issues have been resolved either.
Why would this be?? Help please!

Hello @Alice Mason

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

The Resolved timestamp is set based on the Resolution field being filled in. This is usually filled in only during transitions to your "done" statuses. However, if you put the field on your Create/Edit/View screens then users are required to fill it it. It can't be added to a screen an made optional.

Do you have the Resolution field on your Create, Edit, or View screens?

We did at one point but now we don't - so they must have been created during that period! Thank you
