Reporting - how to - spent hours/days in a particular status?

Hi All,

is there a solution we could report how many days/hours spent an issue in a particular status?

I mean e.g. there are 100 issues in a project and I could make a report that show the average period the issues were in Open status.

We currently use the Jira verison 4.3.4 but we will upgrade to 5.1 in 3 weeks.

There's a built in "time in status" report - would that help?
