I'm trying to use Jira to replicate referral tracking
long story short, if someone refers me business and that business is successful i want to be able to send the original referral a thank you
now.....if that same person does more business with me i want to keep referring the original referrer
So i was thinking a Kanban with epics + recurring tasks for each epic
but was wondering what other peoples opinions might be

When using Jira, the best product to communicate with customers would be Jira Service Desk where there is a portal that they can create tickets for a referral, for example, and each comment or status change will generate a comment.
I searched for similar cases but didn't find anything that could help us to configure Jira for this purpose.
My suggestion would be for you to test both Jira Software and Service Desk and check what best fits your environment.
