Replace a User that did my job before for my User everywhere she appear

Im a Project Manager that was hire by a company to replace a girl that quit i need to replace her everywhere her user is being use for mine

Hi @pablo and welcome to the Community!

The most common places where you probably really want to make this replacement, is for issues that still require work to complete them and where the previous user was either the assignee (the person who 'owns' an issue) or the reporter (the person who created the issue).

Your best friend to do the replacement, is the bulk change feature. You'll need to perform 2 steps for each replacement:

1/ locate the list of issues that must be updated

2/ perform the update

To retrieve a list of open issues assigned to the previous person, navigate to Filters > advanced issue search and - in advanced mode - perform the following search(es):

resolution = unresolved and assignee = <previous.user>

(replace assignee with reporter for the second use case)

Then, when you get a list of results, from the ... button select Bulk change all ... issues:

In the wizard that then is displayed,

  • select all issues
  • choose to edit issues
  • select yourself as the new assignee
  • confirm the update

repeat for the reporter.
