Reorder comments

The previous method to reorder comments apparently does not work in the new issue view, or at least it did not for me.

Hello Cory,

You are correct, the order configured under the jira.issue.actions.order property is not applied to the New Issue View of JIRA.

In fact, the New Issue View of JIRA is still a lab feature where our developers are still getting feedback from customers and working to implement new features.

For the specific matter you mentioned, we have the following development task created to track its implementation:

Configuring the 'jira.issue.actions.order' property on Jira's Advanced Settings page has no effect in the new Issue detail view

Feel free to vote and watch the task to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.

For now, if this lack is really impacting your business, we recommend you to follow the steps to switch back to the Old View:

Disable the new board's issue detail view following the steps described below:

  1. Click on your avatar, at the bottom-left of the screen then click Profile
  2. Under Labs, disable Issue detail view moving the button to the left (the gray icon means "disabled").

PS: ask your users to do it, the steps above works only for the current user.
