We are using JIRA Cloud. When someone creates an Epic, there is a field at the bottom for "Epic Name". If someone forgets to add that, then we get a completely meaningless Epic name of something like "unlabelled-PROJ-1234". Then, when we need to link cards to that Epic, its impossible to know which of the unlabelled names to use. I want to rename these epic names for the epic links to something like "Widget Enhancements".
We also have this issue with all the cards we recently imported from Trello as Epics.
How do I do this in JIRA cloud?
I found a few answers to this question relating to JIRA server, but they didn't apply to Cloud as far as I could tell as they seemed to be talking about manually editing config files.
Hello,
Just must enter a value for that field as it is required, so that's why Jira generates a name for it. Another solution would be to copy the summary of the Epic into that field when the Issue is created, so both have the same value.

But how do I change the label name for the epic after its created?

You should be able to edit the field when viewing an Epic, or when editing the Epic, if the field is not on your screen, use the wizard "Where is my field" to know why that field is not shown there.
Also, I have been checking deeper, and it's a bit strange behavior, let me explain:
Please, let me know if this is useful to you.
