Is there a way to remove the user's name from the send field in email notifications for Jira & Confluence?

Despite having DKIM & SPF set up, emails are constantly picked up by G Suite Admin Quarantine for "Spoofing: Employee Name." I find that it's often for the newest team members, but I don't think that's always the case.

Hello @Mike Sharkey

Thank you for reaching out.

Per your description, I understand the employee's quarantine filter is blocking Jira notifications because of their own name added in the email notification. Is that correct?

Unfortunately, Jira/Confluence does not allow the edit of the email templates (see JRACLOUD-7108), however, you can try some workaround options to prevent the blocking:

  1. You can edit the full name of your users to a format that does not fall in your email filtering
  2. Under System > General Configuration of Jira application, change the format of the field "Email from", removing the variable ${fullname}

Additionally, feel free to vote and watch the suggestion mentioned above (JRACLOUD-7108) to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.

Let us know if this information helps.
