I have turned on the email notifications for the jira logs to keep me updated on what might be going wrong with our jira server.
This message has started popping up and I am unsure why or even how to resolve it.

It says if we are still using it then to open a support ticket. So I have attempted to do so and it has taken me here so here we are.

The error message returned to you is usually caused by a timeout in the communication with Bitbucket. This might be caused by several reasons, as a reindex that overload the instance or a temporary glitch in the connection.
