Regarding hosting JIRA on Amzon cloud

Archana Pandey

We have installed current JIRA5.0.3 instance on a server machine. We also use Amazon cloud in our organization. How can we move the JIRA instance along with DB to the cloud? Is there any security restriction for doing so?

Hi Archana, did you ever move forward with this? My company is also looking at hosting our Confluence\JIRA instances in AWS, and I'm curious to know about your experiences if you did end up doing it.

Hi, not advisable unless on a large instance. The smaller instances have limited CPU/IO that usually causes issues.

Shouldn't be any issues otherwise provided firewalls for required ports have been opened etc.
