Hi Team,
It's regarding the article "Deprecation of basic authentication with passwords for Jira and Confluence APIs" (https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/basic-authentication-deprecation-from-jira-and-confluence-cloud-apis-972355348.html)
As a site admin, I got a notification for this and it disappeared later. May I know how and where to see the user list who involved for this change.
Hi Arunkumar,
I've opened a support request on your behalf to provide this info. Be on the lookout for an email from our support portal shortly - the message will contain the email addresses of the users who are using the authentication methods we've turned off.
You'll want to point those users at this knowledgebase article: Deprecation of basic auth with password for Jira and Confluence. The article contains the instructions they'll need for switching the scripts they're using to a support authentication method.
To be super clear, there's nothing you need to do specifically as an administrator. The couple users who are still using passwords in their scripts just need to switch to tokens instead of passwords. Your job as a site administrator will just be to contact them and let them know to use the steps in the article.
Cheers,
Daniel | Atlassian Support
