Hi there!

I've a jira ticket that keeps being automatically regenerated on a daily basis. In the settings it is marked as a recurring task. However when I open the source ticket is not set as a recurring task. How can I undo this setting? I now have to delete this recurring tasks on a daily basis and it's driving me crazy ;-) ....

Best,

Marrit

Hi @Marrit Zijlstra ,

Welcome to the community !!

Recurring tasks could be created from project automation rule or from some add-ons installed in your jira. You need to disable/delete them.

  1. Go to Project settings --> Automation . Check if there is any rule creating auto tickets daily.
(you need project admin permission for this)

    OR

  2. Go to Admin settings --> Apps --> Manage Apps. See if there is any plugin/add-ons installed related to recurring tasks. (You should be a project admin for this)
Now go to https://marketplace.atlassian.com/ and search for this app. From their documentation, you can know how to create, delete, disable the tickets creation.

Hi @Marrit Zijlstra , welcome to the Atlassian Community and thanks for your question!

It sounds like there is some automation which has been scheduled to create the jira ticket. Please can you check the Automation section of the Project settings where the ticket is being created? If you don't find anything there, please check in the Jira system settings under Global Automation.

Within the ticket itself, there should be a history of the Automations that have been run on the right-hand side, here -

Please take a look and, if you need more help. you can always anonymise the ticket and share it here, like I have done.

Cheers
