In dashboards, is there a way to add a filter gadget for users to filter for specific things?

I have a dashboard (URL removed).

I was wondering is there a gadget available to have a filter available on the screen for users to filter for specific attributes?

You would need an app in order to do this. There are a couple of them available in the Marketplace, I use Custom Charts and it allows you to add a control to the dashboard so that a user can select what they want to filter on.
