Automatically fill the fields of the subtasks from the CSV attachment

Hi everyone,

I have an issue type that will have a CSV attachment with, for example, 5 rows and 20 lines of information.

Here is my problem:

Can I automatically create 20 subtasks (one for each line) for one user and fill 5 fields (from each row) of the subtasks from my CSV file?

The fields will be simple text fields.

Hi @Lusine

Yes, that is possible with a non-trivial automation rule.

The rule would call the REST API functions to load the attachment data, iterate over it, and create the subtasks.

If you want to try this, here are some references to get started:

Although I would recommend using CSV import instead for this scenario rather than an automation rule.

Kind regards,
Bill

Hi @Lusine , there is no way to automatically achieve that by way of attachment.
