A request with status "Resolved" should automatically change to status "Closed" after 3 days and an automatic comment should be added.
I tried automation but couldn't progress.
Welcome to the community.
The following automation (mine) example could help you out. Modify it to your needs.
I hope this helps you.
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
You could use a validator then you would need to use it on an SLA breach, but the would you to have an SLA set the checks time in Resolved status.
This is much more complex to maintain.
This and the above solution are the only automation trigger you could use,

There is another option to solve your request – third-party add-ons. For example, with SLA Time and Report for Jira add-on, you can set the automatic status change and send a comment to the problem with the mention of the user.
To do this, you must create SLA goals with time before the trigger is executed and there select the automation you require.
The number of automation in the application is unlimited, unlike Jira's tariff plan, so this option may be more attractive to you.
Our team develops the app, so I will be happy to answer if you have any questions or require further help.
