Ranking in the Epic view

I know that we have ranking in the Jira backlog. 

When we open The Epic view, and selects Order By to see the options, creation, status, priority etc, is it possible to see the stories in using the ranking.

If you do not select any option for Order by features and the stories are ordered by Rank in the Jira board, the Epic view will display stories considering the Rank order from the board.

I have shared with the team to be careful when moving stories from the same epic, in the scrum board, sprint planning, backlog, roadmap, as they have the consequence of changing the stories rank.

We set a rank for a epic, and it seems like each time we go back to the epic the order has changed, and I think this is a consequence of not being careful when moving stories out of a sprint back to the backlog, or roadmap planning.

I have verified that rank is maintained if you move stories back to the backlog.  I have not verified what happens if you move them between individuals in the team and then change the order on a board for an assignee, I believe this also changes the rank.
