Ramping up to the 2026 ACP 620 Cert

Hi all, I am looking to prepare for the 2026 version of the acp 620 certification. I am sure it will contain Rovo topics but that is ok. 
I have NOT taken any Jira certifications yet but I have used Jira for years. 
In addition to prep/training material, are there tests I should take in series to ramp up towards it?
Is it worth taking the 905 and maybe something else just to make sure I am on track?

2. Rovo Fundamentals

4. 620

My current assignment is wrapping up so I have time to knock out the first two quickly.

I've got years of hands-on Jira Cloud experience too, but skipped certs until now. The official path still holds up: start with the free Jira Essentials if you want a refresh, then do the short Rovo Fundamentals badge since AI features are creeping into questions.

ASB-905 is a good stepping stone – it has labs that force you to configure boards, schemes, and permissions, which directly maps to a chunk of ACP-620. After that, the Atlassian University "Exam Success" course for ACP-620 is worth the time; it drills the tricky spots like advanced JQL, automation rules, and board sub-filters that trip people up.

Grab the exam guide and prep collection from the community links – they're the most accurate outline. For extra practice, some folks swear by the Udemy mock exams (there's a Rovo one mentioned, but search for ACP-620 specific too). Hands-on in a free sandbox instance is key; theory alone won't cut it.

Since you've got the real-world background, you could probably skip straight to prepping 620 after a quick 905 review. Worth it for resume/cred if you're in consulting or leading teams. How much time are you giving yourself to study?

Strategy: Completing the ASB-905 first ensures you’ve covered the official syllabus. It often includes "hands-on labs" which are crucial for identifying settings you might not use in your daily job (like specific Board sub-filters or complex Permission Scheme interactions).

My recommended sequence:

1. Jira Essentials (ACA)
2. Rovo Fundamentals: Since you mentioned Rovo, taking this short, free course/badge will help you master the "AI-agent" side of Jira, which is becoming a staple in 2026 exam versions. 
3. Once you finish the 905 training, Atlassian University offers an "Exam Success" bundle (ACP-620 Exam Success Course).
