Dear Community,
I am the Jira administrator in our company and have been informed that the quick search on the board of a Jira project does not work anymore. I tried it by myself and can confirm that if I for example search for a text string, which is obviously part of the summary of a Jira task on the board, it does not show this task.
In the first screenshot, you can see some tasks, especially the task "RPA: Dokumentation der neu evaluierten RPA-Prozesse" in the column "Modellierung" on the right hand side.
I try to search the board for the string "RPA" (without the marks of course) but nothing will be found as you can see.
I tried it in both team-managed and company-managed projects but it's the same behaviour in both types of projects.
I know that this quick search worked fine in the past and our users often use this feature while working on boards with hundreds of open tasks.
What has happened and how can I make sure the quick search on the board is working fine again for at least the content of the summary field?
Best regards
Thomas
Hi @Thomas Löschner ,
If there is something wrong with searching/finding items, then this is an indication that the index is out of sync. You should contact Atlassian support about this, they can run a re-index.
Note: Normally this should be done automatically and no re-index should be done by you (which is different then the Data Center version).
Hi @Rudy Holtkamp ,
Thanks a lot for your feedback.
It's strange because if I use the search bar on top of the page, I can find the tasks with the specific search string. That's why I did not think about an index issue here.
However I have just opened a support case, let's see what happens.
