Question on Basic auth for REST APIs

Hello Team,

As per this document Building Secure and Scalable Integrations: Our Guidance for Third-Party Apps  published by Atlassian a few months back, we need to upgrade the integrations for third-party apps.

Therefore, my questions are:

1. Will Basic authentication for REST APIs still work? Are there any further changes we need to make for that?

2. If we do need to upgrade, what is the alternative way? Can we use OAuth 2.0 (3LO) for that?

could you elaborate your question a little bit more? What is you current setup? What and how did you connect with Jira?
