Quality tracking

Hello!

Looking for some help around QA tracking.

Our current process is to make a task and pass it to a QA "Testing" swimlane. However until all the task items are complete it sits with the developer in either "in progress" or "peer review".

Were wanting to have a separate QA task but still keep a track of how many times a task moved into failed or back to peer review status. There doesn't seem to be a way unless you only have 1 task passed back and forth?

I am having difficulty visualizing your setup...Would you please:

• explain if you are using a company-managed project (CMP) or team-managed project (TMP)
• post an image of your board, showing its columns and swim lanes
• and if you are using CMP, please post images of your board column mapping and swim lane set up

That information will better help the community to offer you ideas.  Thanks!

More generally, there are several ways to manage work for different skills/roles on a team: single work items or multiple, and both usually describe the work needed.  And teams may use skills-specific steps (board columns) or more generic ones.  Often this depends on how you work, so...

Please discuss with the team what they want to know/see (and why); that information may help you decide things to try.
