Project roles

I am new to the JIRA cloud application.  Been looking at the help and there is mention of project roles, but the menu item does not exist.  Is this help out of date? Currenly on a 7 day trial.

No, roles are there.  Log in as an administrator, go to the admin cog at the top right next to your user profile picture and select any of the options.  The admin screens all have a search at the top, into which you can type "roles", and you'll finf the admin screens for them there.  Pressing g twice is another way to get to the search.

Then, as an ordinary user (or admin), go to a project and look at the project settings, you'll find the roles in there, and the users/groups listed for them.  If you're a project or system admin, you'll be able to update the people in the roles
