My JIRA Project automation rules are failing to execute when Issue Security is enabled and I apply restrictions although I have Admin account. Does the JIRA Automation Account work with Issue Security?

Pleas help....this is causing a major disruption. I will have no choice but to disable Issue Security.

Thanks

Hi VA,

Make sure that the atlassian-addons group has permission to Set Issue Security in the Permission scheme for that project. Also make sure that group is in the Administer Project for that project.

Thank you, I will pass this on to our JIRA Admins.

question... is this issue security at global for all issues?  Are there any add ons that could be involved?

Links to documentation I am sure you looked at: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiracloud/configuring-issue-level-security-776636711.html

Issue Security is applied at the Issue Level.

When I apply Issue Security Restrictions when I manually create an issue, my JIRA Automation Rules fail when they execute on the ticket.

So it seems that my JIRA Automation Account is blocked from changing tickets when a rule is executed.

Is there a way to add my JIRA Automation Account to my Adminstrator group in JIRA?

Thanks
