Hello - I'm not able to see other users logged time in the a Project's Timesheet. When I log my personal time, it's visible. But I don't have the visibility of others. I also have the same issue when opening Tempo (which I never used before). Am I able to view others hours without opening Tempo?

Thank you

Hello @Christine Lanthier

Welcome to the community.

Exactly what are you accessing when you say "a Project's Timesheet"?

Are you working with Classic or Next Gen projects?

JIRA does not natively provide reporting for time logged. If your organization has installed Tempo and no other time reporting app, then you will have to use Tempo to see timesheets, and as part of the Tempo set up you will need to be granted permissions to see other users' timesheets.

Hey @Trudy Claspill !

Re: the Project timesheet, we have several projects listed for each department (I can see the Type is Next-gen software). Within those projects, we have a list of tasks/issues to be completed. On the right panel, there's the timesheet function and when I open the timesheet, it shows the user and logged time. When I log my time, I'm able to see my hours. But I'm not able to see other user's hours. This is without opening Tempo by the way. Last year around this time we had an intern and I was able to view and export his hours.

Is this issue because I need the users to use Tempo? I can see that we have an "Open Tempo" option on the top right of the dash in the timesheet screen.

Thanks again!

Hi @Christine Lanthier

To view worklogs of other users in Tempo, you need to have the permission to do so.

This permission can be given on Tempo Team level ("View team worklogs" permission to view worklogs of members in the team,  https://tempo-io.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/THC/pages/178618432/Granting+Users+Team+Permissions)

It can also be given on Project level using the "View all worklogs" permission.
To set this permission for Next Gen projects, please take a look at https://tempo-io.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/379028002/Permissions+needed+to+see+other+users+worklogs+in+Next-Gen+projects
For classic projects, please look at https://tempo-io.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/THC/pages/488210650/Project+Permissions+-+Tempo+Cloud

@Christine Lanthier

In my JIRA cloud environment I do not see a timesheet function in the left pane for projects of any type. Since we don't have Tempo installed, my best guess is that function is added by Tempo, and you therefore need permissions set up in the project and/or Tempo to view the time logs for another user, as described above by Susanne.
