Project Availability

Hello,

My project team was working in a project on a board and suddenly they all lost access to the board and project.  They are receiving a message they do not have access to the issue and can not access the project.  Any thoughts on what may have happened and how to recover the project and board?

Thanks.

Hi @Diatta Harris welcome to the Atlassian community.

There will be multiple reasons for losing access a project or board:

  • The permissions or roles might have been changed.
  • The project location might have changed.
  • The project/ board might be deleted!

Either way, I believe from your post tag, you are site admin. Please check if accidentally you have deleted or made any global changes on Jira instances and try to recover.

Thank you for the follow up.  I didn't do anything with or to the project or board.  I wasn't even in Jira when the board disappeared.  Interestingly enough the project and board re-appeared.  I didn't do anything to the board.  It actually returned as I was rebooting my laptop.  Very strange.
