Project Automation or JMWE - Add content to text field

Hi,

I would like to achieve the following with project automation or better with JMWE event based action.

Situation is the following:

Person A edits the description field - then it is assigned to person B - only when person B equals a certain user ID and only if field description is not empty some text should be added to the existing text in the field description (not deleting the previous text)

Is it possible with JMWE?
If yes, could someone give me please some explanation how to proceed?
If it is only to be solved by Jira Automation I also would need some explanation.
