Hello,

I am importing projects from our older version of Jira to a new Jira server (Different OS etc). I have moved a lot of projects but I can't seem to move the service desk software projects

The existing project with key 'XX' contains '1' issues.

  • The existing project with key 'CC' contains '1' issues. You can not import a backup project into a project that contains existing issues.
  • The existing project with key 'CC' contains '3' components. You can not import a backup project into a project that contains existing components.

I have 2 projects that this happens with. I don't know what to do.

Hi Ryan - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Are you trying to import a backup file? Or a CSV file?

Backup file, using the import project from the System Import screen

I don't think you are going to be able to export as a backup from one OS instance and then import that into a different OS.

I would suggest you export issues per project into a CSV file and then import the CSV.
