The gadget is not configurable that way. It comes with issue count statistics out of the box. If you're looking to track progress against a version on a dashboard, you may consider using the Version report gadget instead:
Or if you're fine with finding the information in other places than on a dashboard, also check out some of the reports available from your scrum board, like the release, sprint and epic burndown charts.
