My company is looking into Perforce as a solution for version control and file check in/out. However, we require the ability to preview files within JIRA. I have spoken to our perforce rep, who let me know that there are JIRA/Perforce integrations. However, looking more into it, it does not seem like there are integrations that do what we are looking for.
Is there a way to preview files hosted on Perforce inside JIRA without downloading and then attaching them to a JIRA ticket?
Apologies if this has been asked before; I found similar questions but nothing exactly like what we are looking for.
Appreciate the help.
If you haven't look at those, Perforce Software offers 3 separate apps for Jira Cloud. Isn't one of that match your requirements?
Hi Aron,
I looked into these, and it doesn't really seem like any of them solve my issue. Helix ALM might work, but it looks like I would need to make JIRA tickets from Helix and attach files that way. Ideally I would make JIRA tickets in JIRA, and simply reference the files in Perforce. We will be having non-technical people using these files, so the easier/simpler the process is the better.
