Power BI Created vs. Resolved Chart

How does the built-in Atlassian created vs. resolved gadget work, it shows that we resolve more issues then are created a day,  

however in Jira custom reports and Power BI is shows that we never resolve more tickets then are created,  I have gotten it to work in Power BI but now have the issue of date slicers breaking the graph, this is what it should look like, 

and this is what it looks loke with a date slicer, 

how do I set up a created vs resolved graph in Power BI that works with date slicers and shows the true count of tickets created and resolved in a day (like the gadget), I have attached an example Power BI report so you can see what I am doing, I am querying the database directly, and would like to not use any plugins
